Welcome

Welcome to the proposed Caddington Electric Vehicle (EV) & Hydrogen Service Station.  On this website we introduce the various elements of the proposed scheme, the justification behind it, and explain how you can stay informed about the project and provide us with your thoughts about it.

The proposed scheme will enable Electric and Hydrogen Vehicles to be charged/fuelled on site.  The electricity required for this will be generated by an associated Solar Farm in adjacent fields, plus a battery storage facility which will ensure the most effective and efficient use of the renewable energy generated.

This website will be updated as the project progresses.

At present, the plans are at a comparatively early stage. We have recently submitted pre-application enquiries to Central Bedfordshire Council who will consult with Dacorum Council, in order to obtain their feedback prior to the submission of a full planning application.

We also intend to obtain feedback from the local community about the proposals, to help inform the final version of the application.  This website assists us in obtaining comments from the local community through the ‘Feedback’ tab at the top of this page. We have already notified the following stakeholders about the intended applications, in order to increase awareness in the local community;

Caddington Parish Council, Markyate Parish Council, Kenworth Parish Council, South Beds Friends of the Earth, Chilterns AONB, Cllr Kevin Collins, Cllr Eddie Perry, Cllr Herbert Chapman, Cllr Jane Timmis, Rachel Hopkins MP, Mike Penning MP, Andrew Selous MP
